SUN Bucks Cards
SUN Bucks cards have been issued to almost 350,000 students and another 100,000 cards will be mailed tomorrow (8/25). Most students qualify based on the sponsor uploads and we are so grateful for the work you do to upload eligible students.
Distribution of some SUN Bucks Cards were delayed this summer. Cards from the spring uploads may have been held if, households were chosen for income verification or DSHS needed to manually review names or addresses. We know many of you have been helping families who are still waiting for their cards. Thank you! Students who receive their card in August or September will still have 122 days from the day the card was issued to use their benefit.
Applications Are Open Until September 4
Households that did not complete a school year 2025-2026 CNEEB application or were not directly certified in school year 2025-2026 can still apply for SUN Bucks until September 4, 2026.
OSPI created new translated outreach materials with a link to the SUN Bucks application in the corresponding language. The SUN Bucks application is available online in English and Spanish. Paper copies of the application are available in 12 different languages.
