Change in ZSD COVID-19 Protocols

Students, Parents and Staff:

Due to the large number of positive tests in our district and community, we are unable to continue individual class notifications of possible contacts with positive COVID cases. We will continue to make personal contact with individually identified close contacts.

At this time, we are considering ALL students and staff to be in proximity to possible COVID cases and want to remind everyone to be especially aware of any COVID-like symptoms. It is increasingly important for students and staff to STAY HOME when ill, monitor symptoms, and please test when appropriate.

Symptoms may include the following:

  • Fever (≥100.4°F) or chills
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Loss of taste or smell
  • Cough (new, changed, worsening)
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea
  • Headache
  • Fatigue
  • Sore throat

ZSD will offer FREE rapid testing for symptomatic students and staff while on campus, identified close contacts while on campus, and will test by appointment.

Please contact the Health Services Director or School Nurses with any questions.
