E-Rate - 2021-2022
Narrative:
The Zillah School District is seeking updates to existing technology infrastructure to replace aging equipment items. We are looking to update our aging Cisco 5508 wireless controller and Cisco ASA 5525x firewall. The replacements must work with our current investment of 126 Cisco Aironet wireless AP's including models 2602I, 2702I, 2802I and 3802I variants.
Completeness of bid will carry weight in the overall decision for this project. The Zillah School District has the right to accept or reject any portion of the bids received. Washington State Bid laws apply.

Our district core is looking to replace our outdated Cisco 5508 wireless controller to support next gen Aironet wireless AP's and standards. Successful bid should include ap licenses as well as account for any growth as part of the other portions of this E-Rate request.
Product: Firewall
Our Cisco ASA 5525x is at the end of its usable life and we are looking to replace the unit. Must support multi-gigabit connectivity (we currently have a 1Gbps(up/down) Internet connection, but looking to the future) as well as at least 4 DMZ ports. We currently have several VPN tunnels in place with external sources for monitoring and maintaining various District functions. Specified product must be able to support the VPN tunnel with vendors Cisco firewall/VPN equipment.

Our HES campus is home to 25 Cisco Aironet 2602I wireless AP's that have entered end of support. This campus should be evaluated and bids should be made to ensure this location is set to meet the demand of a dense mode client/ap deployment model. Current WiFi-6 or WiFi-6E(draft) standards should be proposed. Existing AP locations are wired with Cat6e compliant cabling. Additional AP's bid as part of the design process will also require cabling runs to be provided.

HES is home to three data closets (1x MDF and 2x IDF). Our MDF is currently outfitted with two APC 3300XL battery backups. Outlets available are 2x NEMA L5-30 (w/ twist-lock ends) circuits. The IDF's are outfitted with an APC 2200xl UPS. Outlets available are 1x NEMA 5-20 in each IDF
