Hybrid/Distance Declaration Process

The Zillah School District has announced the intent to begin offering a hybrid learning model in the format of
AM/PM cohorts while also maintaining a distance learning model throughout the school year.

PK – 5th grade: Monday, October 26, 2020
6th – 8th grade: Monday, November 16, 2020

9th – 12th grade: Tuesday, December 1, 2020

Please fill out the Hybrid/Distance Declaration Form through Skyward Family Access for each child in your
household. *If you need Skyward login and password information, please contact your child’s school office.

 

Families will be able to declare their intent to
1) return to on-site learning at the earliest date offered for your child,
2) wait until second semester (December 1, 2020), or to declare to
3) remain in a distance learning model through second semester.

Third semester declarations will be completed in January/February.

 

*Distance learning models may be modified in order to balance the needs of all students in the school system.
Distance learning will likely be different than what students are experiencing now (classroom teacher
changes, curriculum adjustments, schedule changes, etc.) and will not be directly comparable to what students
are currently experiencing in distance learning.

Families will not be able to change their selection mid-semester due to significant scheduling impacts.

Skyward Hybrid/Distance Declaration Process:
1) Log into Skyward Family Access.
2) Choose “Declaration of Intent - Hybrid Learning” on the top, left side of the screen.
3) If you have multiple children, select the child to which you will declare.
4) In Step 1 of the Form, make the selection for your child’s intent for hybrid or distance learning as well
as transportation needs.
5) Sign and date the form (electronically) then select “Complete Step 1 and Move to Step 2.”
6) In Step 2 of the Form, select “Submit Form.”
7) If you have multiple children in the district, choose “Declaration of Intent – Hybrid Learning” to find
other children.

Please complete the declaration process by the end of the day Wednesday, October 7, 2020 to provide the ZSD
ample time for planning.

If you have difficulty completing the declaration process, feel free to contact your child’s building secretary.

El Distrito Escolar de Zillah ha anunciado la intención de comenzar a ofrecer un modelo de aprendizaje en
persona en el formato de grupos AM/PM, al mismo tiempo que mantiene un modelo de aprendizaje a distancia
durante todo el año escolar.

Las familias podrán declarar su intención a

todos los estudiantes en el sistema escolar. El aprendizaje a distancia probablemente será diferente de lo
que los estudiantes están experimentando ahora (cambios de maestros en la clase, ajustes curriculares, cambios
de horario, etc.) y no será directamente comparable a lo que los estudiantes están experimentando actualmente
en el aprendizaje a distancia.

Las familias no podrán cambiar su selección a mediados del semestre debido a impactos significativos en la
programación.

Proceso de declaración de Skyward Hybrid/Distance:
1) Inicie sesión en Skyward Family Access.
2) Elija "Declaration of Intent – Hybrid Learning” en la parte superior izquierda de la pantalla.
3) Si tiene varios hijos, seleccione el niño al que declarará.
4) En el Paso 1 del Formulario, haga la selección para la intención de su hijo para el aprendizaje en persona o a
distancia, así como las necesidades de transporte.
