Zillah School District Goals 2011-12

1. The Zillah School District will continue to make increased academic achievement and educational opportunities for students their primary focus.
2. The Zillah School District will continue to plan and implement strategies that lead to improvement of student and staff safety and security.
 
3. The Zillah School District will continue to improve parent communication and parent engagement in their child’s education.
 
4. The Zillah School District will continue to be committed to providing an environment in which technology is used by students and staff to increase academic achievement.
5. The employees of the Zillah School District will continue to improve in the area of professional relations with students, parents, community member and each other.
 
6. The Zillah School District will continue to improve the look, cleanliness, maintenance and security of school campuses and school district property.
 
7. The Zillah School District will begin to plan for future educational program and facility needs.
 
8. The Zillah School District will continue to prepare for an unstable economic future by spending conservatively so that current educational programs can be maintained in times of decreased federal, state and local revenue.
 

Board Work Session Topics

During the course of the school year the Zillah School District Board of Education will be studying a variety of topics at their monthly work sessions.  Work Sessions are held prior to monthly Board meetings and on the 4th Thursday of the month.  Work Sessions start at 6:00 p.m. and are held in the Zillah Middle School Library.  The public is always welcome to attend.  If there are topics that you feel the Board should study please email or call the Secretary to the Board, Kevin McKay, mckay_k@zsd.wednet.edu  829-5911.
