A NOTE FROM OUR SCHOOL NURSES

What can you do to protect your children from illnesses? A number of things: wash hands often and well, cover nose and mouth with your elbow when sneezing or coughing, avoid touching your face, especially eyes and nose, keep surfaces in the home clean by wiping often with household disinfectants, stay away from those that are sick, keep your kids home if they are sick, and get a flu shot. Flu symptoms are fever, cough, headache, body aches, chills and fatigue, and with some children vomiting and diarrhea. A child with a fever needs to stay home until they are fever-free without medicine for 24 hours, and until their cough is gone. Thank you for your help!

It's picture time again at Hilton Elementary.  The order envelopes will be sent home on Thursday, September 25, 2014.  If you would like to order pictures, just fill out the envelope and enclose a check or cash for the correct amount (we cannot make change in the office) and return the envelope on or before October 2, 2014.   Pictures will be taken on October 2, 2014.   Please don't call the office to find out what time your child's picture will be taken.  There is not an exact schedule.  We try to have all the pictures taken before noon.
